Don’t Go by Busta Rhymes featuring Q Tip taken from Busta’s album Extinction Event Level 2 is currently in rotation on the online radio station channel ‘GetRight Radio’. If you love the track and what is stands out for then you can rank it on the website’s Charts section. The album was released in the middle of a pandemic and recent happenings of the ‘Black Lives matter’ propaganda. Thus, one can only imagine what the lyrics of the album’s songs would be all about. Believe it or not, the gap between that album and Busta’s last album is actually eight years. During that time, he has been busy with other things like his businesses and acting in movies. Someone as tall as him won’t have difficulties landing roles. The album was well-received by critics and hip-hop fans.
Currently, Busta Rhymes just recently released a 25th-anniversary edition of his first solo album, ‘The Coming’. A lot of his hip-hop icon friends appear on the album. Of course, Q tip once again slides in a cameo on the ‘Ill track’ vibe while dropping some hot beats. When the album appeared on the Billboard charts, it became certified platinum. It was not long before a new star was born in Busta Rhymes. The 25th-anniversary album has previously unreleased tracks along with remixes of the tracks that appeared on the original album. The final result is a huge album that contains a grand total of 36 tracks including 12 instrumentals. While it is the 25th year since his first solo album, it is also the 30th year since his first album. This album contains the same song that earned Busta Rhymes a Grammy nomination. While he did not win the Grammy, he went on to receive ten more Grammy nominations in his career. It is no secret he is looking to earn even more with this new album and it would be to nobody’s surprise if he actually wins the Grammy as he definitely deserves it.
It won’t be a surprise if Busta Rhymes and Q Tip once again collaborate for more tracks in the future. Both are veterans in the industry but they love making music so much that they would not mind making more chart-topping hits. Q Tip is not the only guest on the album as there are also guest appearances by Redman, SWV, Keith Murray, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. There are several songs on the album that contains different versions that will certainly get you hooked. It is only fitting that Busta celebrates his first solo album with this collector’s edition. Hip-hop fans should certainly add it to their collection knowing it will be something collectors would look for in the future. Recently, Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey released a new video for their classic song, ‘Where I Belong’. It is something that people should take a look at considering the pandemic and everyone is advised to stay at home in the meantime.
